Rosewood
Indian Rosewood essential oil is steam distilled from the chippings of the Dalbergia Sissoo Tree, also known as the Himalayan Raintree. This medium to large sized tree is native to the foothills of the Himalayas and the Indian subcontinent. It’s a fast-growing, deciduous tree with a crooked trunk, leathery leaves and white-pink flowers.
Indian Rosewood oil is not to be confused with Brazilian Rosewood which comes from the endangered Aniba rosaeodora tree. The Indian tree is grown and produced sustainably through coppicing, and has no links with deforestation.
Rosewood essential oil has a sweet, warm, spicy, floral aroma with a woody undertone. It is popular in ayurvedic medicine for its healing properties, and often used as a stress reliever as it is at once calming and uplifting….so perfect for our ...and breathe blend.
