Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil 10ml

£10.00

Lebanese Cedarwood is thought to be one of the first essential oils extracted from nature. The Sumerians regarded the cedar tree to be the Tree of Life and the Egyptians incorporated it into their embalming rituals for its rich, warm, woody scent - so this one has some pedigree!

There are many types of cedar trees, all coniferous, evergreen, and part of the cypress family. They traditionally grow at high altitude, can grow to around 100ft and live for up to 900 years. The oil is steam distilled from the wood shavings and sawdust, and can vary depending on the age, growing location and variety of the Cedar.

It is possibly one of the most evocative fragrances as its rich, warm, woody and sometimes festive associations will bring out personal memories for each one of us. It reminds me of the majestic forests of Scotland and many happy days walking and running in them. The scent is generally felt to promote vitality and wellness, so is perfect in the ...power on blend.
